Know Jesus

KNOW HIM

Who is Jesus

The gospel is the good news of what God has done through Jesus Christ for our salvation. The Bible tells us about a God who created the heavens, the earth, and everything within it, including humanity. We were His most cherished creation, and He gave us authority over the earth. However, mankind disobeyed God, resulting in separation from His love and His purpose for us. Despite our longing for God, our attempts to reconnect through rituals and sacrifices couldn’t restore the broken relationship. The consequence of sin was death—both physical and spiritual—and humanity faced eternal separation from God.

But God, in His love, sent His only Son, Jesus, to die on the cross as the ultimate and permanent sacrifice for the sins of all who believe in His life, death, and resurrection. As the Bible says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” Jesus, obeying God’s will, lived a sinless life, died on the cross, was buried, and was raised from the dead by God. He now reigns at the right hand of God as Lord over all creation, both in heaven and on earth. When a person acknowledges their sins, confesses Jesus as their Lord and Savior, and believes that God raised Him from the dead, they receive salvation.

This salvation brings peace with God and the promise of eternal life. The gospel is clear—salvation is not earned by good works but is a gift of God’s grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ. With this salvation, God restores the blessings that He originally intended for humanity. Those who have Jesus are spiritually alive and, at the end of their earthly life, will be welcomed into heaven where Jesus resides, where there is no more sorrow, pain or tears.  Although we are undeserving, God made this salvation possible through His love and grace. This is the essence of the gospel.

Are you sure of your salvation? Have you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior? If not, today is the day you can receive Him. You can pray this simple prayer to invite Jesus into your heart: “Dear God, I acknowledge that I have sinned against You. I confess my sins and ask for Your forgiveness. I believe that Jesus died for my sins and that You raised Him from the dead. Please cleanse me from my sins, forgive me, and grant me the eternal life You promised through Jesus. In His name, I pray. Amen.” If you prayed this prayer, you are now born again. This is a new beginning in your life. As with any new journey, we want to help you grow in your relationship with Jesus. Please take a moment to write to us—we would love to connect with you and support you in this new chapter of your life.
